Venice Blues Festival, Sarasota Florida

The Venice Blues Festival will take place at Maxine Barritt Park on November 15th and feature the legendary Blues artist Mac Arnold. Mac has played with many of the greats in blues and R & B. Mac’s first band had James Brown as his piano player. Later he moved up to Chicago where Muddy Waters soon hired him to play Bass. He later played Bass for Johnny Lee Hooke, Otis Spann, B.B. King and Otis Redding.  He moved to Los Angeles where he produced Soul Train with his friend Don Cornelius. He is still very active in the blues community.
