Henderson Beach State Park is located on Florida's Emerald Coast and is rated the No. 1 Destin attraction by TripAdvisor. Sugar-white sand beaches and over 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline bordering the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Some natural features of the park include sand pines, scrub oaks, and dune rosemary. Boardwalks are provided to the beach area for swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. Four large and two small pavilions allow for picnicking and grilling. A children's playground is the first stop on the nature trail and is sure to be popular with young visitors. The nature trail provides visitors a rare glimpse of the coastal dune ecosystem and abundant wildlife and is pet friendly. Camping at Henderson Beach State Park provides 60 campsites that are located in our secondary dune system; these facilities include water and electric hookups and access to air-conditioned/heated bathhouse facilities - there is a separate beach access boardwalk with outdoor showers and a playground located in the campground. Henderson Beach is ADA accessible and offers beach wheel chair availability. Visitors enjoy breathtaking sunsets while relaxing by the warm emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
